About

I started this site because I kept buying clothes that didn't fit, and the size charts weren't helping. The charts existed. They just didn't tell me the thing I actually needed to know — whether the shoulders would sit right, or whether the shirt would still look like a shirt after its twentieth wash.

What we cover

Clothes first, then the accessories and bags that go with them. Five sections:

• Everyday Wardrobe — Shirts, trousers, knits and the pieces that get worn on repeat — judged on fabric, fit and what happens after the dryer.
• Outerwear & Layers — Jackets, coats and the layering pieces between them, compared by warmth, weight and how they sit over a shirt.
• Accessories — Watches, belts, scarves and the small things that decide whether an outfit reads as finished.
• Bags & Luggage — Backpacks, totes and carry-ons, measured loaded rather than empty, against the numbers airlines actually enforce.
• Fit & Buying Guides — How to read a size chart, which measurements predict fit, and what the fabric labels actually mean.

How articles get written

We start from published material: brand measurement charts, fabric specifications, stated dimensions, care labels, and return policies. Then we look at what owners report once they've lived with the thing — retailer reviews, forum threads, long-term updates. Where a brand publishes a number, we cite it. Where it doesn't, we say the number isn't published rather than filling the gap.

What we don't do

• We don't run a testing lab. No test rigs, no instrumented wear trials. Any figure on this site is either published by the brand or reported by owners, and we say which.
• We don't publish deals or coupon roundups. This is a content site. There is no deals section and there won't be one.
• We don't show cashback or commission rates. Those are internal figures, and displaying them would misrepresent what a reader would actually get.
• We don't take payment for coverage. See the affiliate disclosure for how the site is funded.

Bylines on articles are Maya Ellis, Founder & Editor. I started Dressing Time after one too many orders that came back in the wrong size. Everything here is built from published specifications, brand measurement charts and what owners actually report.
